29th National Autumn Show and Sale of Pedigree Limousin Bulls

Lincolnshire breeders father and son, John and Michael Fieldson of Gainsborough, sold the event's top price of 37,000gns. Fieldson Alfy, a March 2005 son of Gunnerfleet Plunas and out of a Broadmeadows Cannon sired mother, was a certain eyecatcher he was a bull with length, good legs and outstanding conformation. Michael and John commented that Alfy was the the best bull they had ever bred in the herd. He also lifted the pre-sale judging championship award and was also a member of the winning Carlisle Three Award. Alfy now goes to join the Netherhall herd based at Kirkby Lonsdale for Nether Hall Farm ltd, Mansergh.

Following at 13,000gns was Bailea Amazon shown by the judge Brian Jones and his son Matthew from Sennybridge, Brecon. Amazon is the first son of the imported bull Salomon to be sold by auction, and was out of a Martinet sired mother. He now travels across the border into Dumfriesshire for Brian and Andy Ryder of Newton Farm, Moffat.

Next in the line up leading prices were three bulls all making 12,000gns and all exhibited by first time breeders to Carlisle. First came Windsole Appollo shown by William Lawson of Perthshire and selling to David Baillie of Calla, Carnwath. The next two prices both came from Christopher Murray of Co.Down, N.Ireland, which were Annadale Arena going to local breeder Brian Hall of Ainstable Hall, Carlisle and the other entry Annadale Anonymous selling to Alan Fotheringham of Craighall Farm, Perth.
