Welsh Wishmaster equals breed record price

Henlli Wishmaster ET - 21,000gns

A bid of 21,000gns topped the Border Belgian Blue club show and sale for the Welsh breeder GV Williams of Anglesey. Henlli Wishmaster, an August 2004 born son of Baron du Bois Bauloye, had won the Intermediate male championship the day before and went on to equal the Belgian Blue breed record price of 21,000gns. This greatly admired bull was successfully purchased by brothers Rhys and Sion Jenkins to join their Penfro herd based at Crymych of Pembrokshire.

A next leading price of 9,500gns came from the senior bull consigned by Graham Morgan of the Almeley herd. Almeley Wellington, a May born son of Park U Panda and out of a Totem bred mother, was sold to an undisclosed buyer.

Dumfriesshire breeders Brian and Andy Ryder sold Annanwater Wiseguy for 8,800gns. A son of Affute du ry Ossogne he went to Messrs Fell of Stanger Hill, Carlisle.
