Dispersal of the TAURA HERD The Taura Dispersal Sale for RI Henderson, Stocksfield, Northumberland, was well supported by neighbours and other Holstein enthusiasts throughout the country. The dispersal saw many of the great Holstein families represented and were much appreciated by the ringside attendance. The Henderson family would like to thank everyone who supported and attended the sale and wish success with their purchases. The top price was paid for a recently fresh daughter by KC Roses Chatter T Red for 1,750gns. Bred from an EX93 dam, this heifer displayed great potential. She now joins the Lemington Herd of JO Hodge, Eyemouth, Berwickshire. The Hanoverhill Lulu family provided the second top price of the day of 1,700gns. The seventh generation of Excellent of VG and sired by Maughlin Storm, this fourth calved cow now enters the herd of Carhall & Excellence Holsteins of Ian Mallinson, Low Northsceugh and Peter Sherwen, Bridge Petton Farm, Gosforth, Seascale. Dominating the top prices Taura Malachite Lulu PI VG85, a Lulu by Robthom Malachite realised 1,650gns. Eighth generation of Excellent or Vg cows was solely claimed by Stuart Braid, Lochwood Cottage, Beattock, Moffat. Leading Prices
