On Tuesday 19th September 2006 at Lockerbie Market, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd sold 455 Store Lambs and 52 Texel and Beltex Rams.

Store Lambs sold dearer selling to £35 for Cheviot from M/s Elliot, Burnfoot of Ewes, Langholm, others leading prices included M/s Paterson, Hopsrig, who sold at £34.50. North Country Cheviot Lambs sold to £35.50 from M/s Halliday, Capelfoot.

At the firm’s annual show and sale of Texel Rams which was kindly sponsored by MacMin, the judge Mr Martin Davison, Muirhouse awarded the Championship to a superb ram lamb from Mr Crosbie, Clencaple Farm, which later realised £350.

The Reserve Champion was from M/s T & V Illingworth, Howgillside with a shearling which sold at £380. Regular consignor Mr J Black, Craighouse enjoyed a fine days trading with 2 shearling selling at £350. Beltex Shearling sold to £260 from M/s Hyslop, Netherton, Crawfordjohn
