Middleton in Teesdale Prize Show and Sale of Breeding Cattle

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their annual Prize show and sale of 241 Beef Breeding Cattle, also 43 Store Cattle at Middleton in Teesdale on Tuesday 28th November 2006.

Beef Breeding Cattle met strong demand resulting in the following averages:-
Cows with Calves at foot averaged £811.40 (+£73.22)
Heifers with Calves at foot averaged £1,047.27 (+£158.14)
In Calf Cows averaged £428.64 (+£114.86)
In Calf Heifers averaged £952.20 (+£232.47)

1st Prize Cow with calf at foot which was won by R Marwood & Son, Long Green

The show, sponsored by Simpson Fuel Oils, was judged by Messrs H & A Gass who made the following awards:-

1st R Marwood & Son, Long Green - £1,280 to Mr R Garbutt
2nd C A & J G Skidmore, Needless Hall - £1,600 to M J & S M Wallace & Son, Lane Head.
