On Friday, 10th November 2006 Harrison & Hetherington held their
November sale of Breeding cattle. 305 Beef Breeding units sold under
the hammer with a huge crowd of buyers turning out. We had a very good
dispersal of 70 Bazadaise and Limousin x cows with Bazadaise calves at
foot from Messrs Forster, Low Houselop Farm, which sold exceptionally
well averaging £679.
The top average was £1700 per unit for a string of very good Limousin
x heifers with Limousin calves at foot from Messrs Skidmore, Needles
Hall. Trade in general was very good for a mixed show of cows with calves
and bulling heifers.
